Meet Our Faculty

Chetan Rajadhyaksha, M.D., Chairman of Radiology and Section Chief of Nuclear Imaging

 

Dr. Chetan Rajadhyaksha received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and medical degree from DY Patil Medical College, Bombay University, Mumbai, India. He completed his internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY and a joint residency program in radiology at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center and nuclear medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was chief resident. He then came to Florida to complete an MRI fellowship in musculoskeletal, body and neurological imaging at University of Miami, where he also served as junior faculty. He is board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology.

 

 

William F. Burke III, M.D., Section Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging and Radiology Residency Program Director

 

Dr. William F. Burke is board certified with expertise in cardiovascular imaging, specifically coronary CTA and cardiovascular MRI. Dr. Burke received his undergraduate and medical doctor degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Hershey Medical Center. He completed his internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Manhattan and diagnostic radiology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia. After completing a cardiovascular imaging fellowship, he was awarded a certificate of Advanced Proficiency in cardiac CT by the American College of Radiology. His participation in numerous ongoing research studies keeps him on the forefront of this new and rapidly evolving field.

 

 

Robert Beasley, M.D., Section Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Director of the Vascular Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center

 

Dr. Robert Beasley is an interventional radiologist, specializing in cardiovascular care, and director of the Vascular Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center. A graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, Dr. Beasley completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He also was a fellow in vascular interventional procedures and neuroradiology at University of Miami / Jackson. Dr. Beasley is a member of the Greater Miami Radiological Society, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology and the Dade County Medical Association. Dr. Beasley, has authored numerous articles on interventional radiology and cardiovascular care and is actively involved in national multicenter clinical and research trials.

 

 

Vinay Bhatia, M.D., Section Chief of Neuroradiology

 

Dr. Vinay Bhatia is a board-certified radiologist specializing in neuroradiology and serves as the section head of neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is an alumnus of the MSMC diagnostic radiology residency where he was chief resident. Prior to residency, Dr. Bhatia earned his medical degree and completed his internship year in internal medicine at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC. He received subspecialty training in neuroradiology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

 

 

John Chaloupka, M.D., F.A.H.A., F.A.C.A, Section Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology

 

Dr. John Chaloupka completed his medical doctorate at Johns Hopkins University and internal medicine internship at Sinai Hospital-Johns Hopkins Affiliate. He completed both a diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology at Emory University and subsequently completed a fellowship in interventional neuroradiology and neurosurgery at UCLA. Dr. Chaloupka served as assistant professor of radiology and neurosurgery at Yale University and Co-Director of the Yale Cerebrovascular Center. Most recently he was professor of radiology and neurosurgery and director of the Division of Neuro-Interventional Service at the University of Iowa. Dr. Chaloupka is extensively published and a popular invited speaker, having established internationally-acclaimed programs of excellence in clinical service, advanced post-graduate training and research (translational and clinical trials).

 

 

Daniel Feinberg, M.D., Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging

 

Dr. Daniel Feinberg joined Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Department of Radiology with a specialty in musculoskeletal radiology. Dr. Feinberg received his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine. After completing his internship at Carney Hospital in Boston, he moved to New York City, where he completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital Medical Center and his musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

 

 

Radha Inampudi, M.D.

 

Dr. Radha Inampudi is neuroradiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at the Feinberg School of Medicine/Northwestern University. Dr. Inampudi then completed her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. She continued her training  with fellowships in neuroradiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia as well as the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.

 

Stuart S. Kaplan, M.D., Section Chief of Breast Imaging

 

Dr. Stuart Kaplan, Section Chief of Breast Imaging, brings more than 15 years experience in breast imaging to the hospital’s Comprehensive Breast Center, which is dedicated to detecting, treating and preventing breast cancer. A graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine, he completed his radiology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles and fellowship at the Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging at the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

 

Luciano Mastrogiovanni, M.D., Section Chief of Body Imaging

 

Dr. Luciano Mastrogiovanni is board-certified radiologist in Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Department of Radiology specializing in body imaging. Dr. Mastrogiovanni received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina. After completing his internship at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital in New York, he continued his training in diagnostic radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center. He received his body imaging fellowship training at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY.

 

 

 

Abisola Odunmbaku, M.D.

 

Dr. Odunmbaku earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed an internal medicine internship at Georgetown University Hospital. She finished her residency training in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Following her residency, she served as an instructor of radiology and radiological sciences and received advanced subspecialty training in body imaging at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Her advanced training focused on gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and cardiac imaging.

 

 

Brandon Olivieri, M.D.

 

Brandon Olivieri, MD, RPVI earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and then went on to complete his internship training with the Yale Department of Internal Medicine where he was awarded Best Intern. After completing his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident and was twice named “Resident of the Year”, Dr. Olivieri went on to complete fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.

 

 

 

Katrina Rabinovich, M.D.

 

Dr. Katrina Rabinovich’s specialty is women’s imaging, including mammography, breast MRI and a full range of interventional breast procedures, as well as gynecologic ultrasound and MRI. Dr. Rabinovich received her Medical Degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine, her radiology residency at the University of Tennessee Methodist Hospital and completed her fellowship in women’s imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

 

 

Ivy Salom, M.D., Section Chief of Ultrasound Imaging

 

Dr. Ivy Salom is a board-certified radiologist with a sub-specialty in breast imaging which includes, mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI, as well as, breast interventional procedures. Dr. Salom earned her medical degree from the University of Havana School of Medicine in Cuba. She went on to complete her transitional year internship at San Juan City Hospital and a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Salom furthered her post-graduate training as a fellow in breast imaging at Mount Sinai’s Comprehensive Breast Center in Miami Beach, Florida.

 

 

Vivek Sindhwani, M.D.

 

Dr. Sindhwani is a board-certified radiologist at MSMC specializing in neuroradiology. He earned his medical degree from Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in India. He then completed his diagnostic radiology residency at King Edward Memorial Hospital in India. Dr. Sindwhani firthered his training in multiple subspecialty fields with fellowships in pediatric radiology at Children's Hospital of Westmead in Australia, abdominal imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital and neuroradiology at the Cleveland Clinic and University of Missouri.

 

 

Timothy Yates, M.D., Interventional Radiology and Radiology Residency Associate Program Director

 

Dr. Timothy Yates earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He then completed a surgical internship and diagnostic radiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami where he served as chief resident. This training was followed by an interventional vascular & oncological radiology fellowship at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Yates is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Medical Association, Society of Interventional Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Florida Radiological Society, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

 

 

Annie Yuen, M.D.

 

Board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Annie Yuen earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She then completed a radiology residency at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center, followed by a women’s breast imaging fellowship at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Yuen served as medical director of the department of radiology at University Hospital, Case Western Reserve Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Yuen is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Association for Women Radiologists, Radiology Society of North America, Society for the Advancement of Women’s Imaging and the Society of Breast Imaging.
